1. Introduction
Glosa is a vocabulary training app developed and published by Daraxis, Eskilstuna, Sweden. It is built to work entirely on your device.
2. What We Collect
Nothing. Glosa has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The app does not transmit any data off your device — it does not even use the internet.
3. Your Data
- The word pages, quiz progress, and settings you create are stored only locally on your device.
- If you use Export/Backup, a file is created and handed to the app you choose (email, cloud drive, etc.). From that moment the file is governed by that app's privacy policy — Glosa never sees or stores a copy.
- Deleting the app (or using Settings → Delete all data) removes all data. On Android, your words may also be included in your device's standard Google backup (controlled by your device settings, encrypted by Google, and never accessible to Daraxis).
4. Notifications
Practice reminders are optional, off by default, scheduled locally on your device, and can be turned off at any time in the app's Settings or in your system settings.
5. Permissions
- Notifications (optional) — only to show the practice reminders you asked for.
Glosa requests no other permissions — no location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no storage access beyond its own private folder.
6. Children
Glosa collects no data from anyone, including children.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Because Glosa stores all data locally on your device and transmits nothing, there is no personal data held by Daraxis to access, rectify, or erase. Deleting the app removes everything. 8. Website Analytics & Cookies (daraxis.com only)
This section applies to this website (daraxis.com) only, not to the Glosa app itself. The app uses no analytics of any kind.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic. No cookies are set until you consent: on your first visit a banner asks you to Accept or Decline, using Google Consent Mode v2 with all analytics and advertising storage denied by default. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. For this processing, Google Ireland Limited acts as our data processor; see Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Sweden. The competent supervisory authority for data protection matters is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
10. Changes to This Policy
If a future version of Glosa ever changes any of the above (for example an optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be clearly described in the app store release notes and by the "Last Updated" date above.
